Community Guidelines

WaxMark has a community database. When a record isn't in our main catalogue, any user can add it — and anyone can contribute a BPM, a key, or a preview link to help other DJs identify and verify their records. That shared knowledge is one of the most useful things about WaxMark, especially for white labels and unlabelled promos that appear in no mainstream database.

These guidelines keep that data accurate, useful and lawful. By contributing, you agree to follow them.

What to contribute

  • Records that genuinely exist — accurate artist, release title, catalogue number and track listing.
  • BPM and key values you've detected or verified, not guesses.
  • Preview links that actually match the track, to help others confirm they've got the right record.

If you're not sure a detail is right, it's better to leave it blank than to add something inaccurate. Other DJs rely on this data to label their records correctly.

Preview links

  • Preview links may point to YouTube or SoundCloud only. Other platforms aren't accepted.
  • Link to official or legitimate uploads wherever you can.
  • Don't link to content that's been uploaded or shared without the rights holder's permission — doing so may be unlawful, and you're responsible for the links you submit.
  • WaxMark doesn't host or store any audio or video. A preview link is just a pointer to content on those platforms, which opens on their own site.

Reporting content

  • "Report copyright" sits alongside every preview link. If a link points to infringing content, report it — the link is removed immediately and automatically.
  • "Report broken link" flags links that no longer work. Once a link gathers enough broken reports it's hidden, and the option to add a working one reappears.

These tools are how the community keeps itself clean without heavy moderation, so please use them.

Keep it accurate and honest

Don't deliberately submit wrong information, spam the database, submit duplicate or junk entries, or attempt to manipulate confidence indicators. Contributions that do this may be removed.

Be respectful

The community is here to help fellow DJs. Don't use it to harass, abuse or mislead other users.

Our role

We may remove, hide or correct any community contribution at our discretion — including records, BPM/key values and links — to keep the database accurate and lawful. We don't pre-check every submission, so the reporting tools and your good judgement matter.

Your privacy

Community contributions are stored as aggregate data only — for example, how many users have confirmed a value. We don't publish them against your name or identity, and there's no public record of who submitted or confirmed a particular value.
